The Edo State Film Festival aims to bring together filmmakers, producers, distributors, and industry enthusiasts from across the world (both digitally and physically) and to draw the attention of creative industry participants to Edo State.
About Edo State Film Festival
The Edo state film festival will hold for 4 days Thursday, September 1 to Sunday, September 4 ,2022. The film festival was hosted by the Edo State Government His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki, Co-Hosted by the Edo State Skills Development Agency (Edojobs), and Supported by the German Cooperation, GIZ, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
The Edo Film Festival would encourage cooperation between filmmakers of Edo State heritage, films created in Edo State, and the international community.
The film festival is the first of its kind and will serve as a watershed moment in the globalization of the Edo film industry.
Edo State Film Festival How to register/submit a movie.
The Edo state film festival is open to the public and also filmmakers, there are two types of registration:
- Register to Attend: To register you have to fill in the Edo State Film Festival | Attendance Form using this link. You will need to fill in your name, phone number, gender, age, and Which training you are applying for?
- To Submit your movie: To submit your movie for the Edo State Film Festival the regular deadline is August 20, 2022 submit your movie using this link click on Submit now and sign up using your Google account: it will take you to another page asking you if you want to submit your work or manage a film festival, select “I want to submit my work or get tickets to film festivals and events“ Click on submit now again and “Add a project’ after filling the required details submit it and wait for an email from Edo State Film Festival.
Awards & Prizes of the Edo State Film Festival
During the film festival, filmmakers will receive honors, certificates of participation, and suitable prizes. The festival jury will choose the winners from the chosen films submitted to the Edo State film festival to determine the awards/prizes.
Rules & Terms
The regulations and terms of the Film Festival are subject to the collective decisions of the festival administrators in order to create an enabling environment for festival organizers.
