Edo state to host one of the biggest tech conferences in South-south. This is the first of its kind in Edo State. The Edo Tech Conference will serve as a stable and secure environment for IT talent and entrepreneurs to network, produce local solutions for their surroundings, broaden their horizons, and improve the ecosystem.
His Excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki, the State Governor, will host the five-day event, which will include panel talks with industry experts, breakout training sessions, hackathons, startup exhibitions, networking, a virtual tech job fair, and other exciting events.
The subject of the inaugural Edo Innovates Tech Conference (#EITC2022) is “Innovation, Solutions, and Talent; Driving the Economies of the Future.”
The conference is being planned in collaboration with the German government. It will be carried out by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Google Developers Group, Globacom Limited(Glo), and Songhai Labs.

The conference will be held at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub and Sound Stage in Benin City, Edo State, from November 29- December 3, 2022.
Wiza Jalakasi, VP, ChipperCash; Mene Blessing, CEO of Vetsark; and Joshua Chibueze, Co-founder and CMO of Piggyvest, will facilitate several panel discussions and breakout sessions throughout the hybrid conference.
The Edo tech conference will also provide an opportunity for startups to meet with potential partners and investors, with N2,000,000 (two million Naira) up for grabs in the hackathon and N3,000,000 (three million Naira) up for grabs in the business pitch competition, which will be held across three different categories, namely Agriculture, Education, and Healthcare.
